About Us > Company Overview:
Kenneth Michael & Associates, LLC was founded by two long time executive search professionals in the Tampa Bay area, Mike Carney and Ken Folkman.
Carney and Folkman both started their career in the recruiting industry in 1987 with competing firms specializing in the placement of accounting and financial professionals for Tampa Bay area companies. In 1992, they became principals in the Tampa based firm of Burlington Wells, Inc. which specialized in the placement of healthcare financial professionals on a nation-wide basis, as well as continuing to service the local Florida market, placing Accounting and Finance professionals. After building the firm to two statewide offices, and gaining ever increasing market share, Burlington Wells was approached by TMP Worldwide (parent company of Monster.com), as the first contingency search firm purchase in their E Resourcing Division in early 2000.
Carney and Folkman, after holding various positions within the E-Resourcing Division for over two years, founded Kenneth Michael & Associates to focus on niche markets under-served as a result of the TMP acquisition.
The same formula that built Burlington Wells still holds true for Kenneth Michael & Associates, LLC.
